Chief Executive Officer, Marsh McLennan Canada & President, Marsh Canada

Sarah Robson is the CEO of Marsh McLennan Canada. Marsh McLennan is the world’s leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people. In this role, Sarah is responsible for the performance and operations of the Marsh and Mercer businesses in Canada, while working closely with local leaders across Marsh McLennan’s businesses to strengthen the organization’s position in the marketplace and make a greater client impact. Additionally, as President of Marsh Canada, Sarah sets the strategic priorities for the business and oversees Marsh’s operations across 13 national offices.

Sarah joined Marsh more than 25 years ago and has held a number of progressively responsible positions in North America with a particular focus on Directors & Officers (D&O) risk management. Sarah is a founding member of Marsh’s Global FINPRO Advisory Board, led the Metro New York FINPRO Practice, and managed Marsh’s global relationship with AIG.

A passionate student of governance and D&O Liability issues, Sarah is a graduate of the Directors’ Education Program at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She co-designed and facilitated the module on D&O Insurance & Indemnification at Rotman for nine years.

Sarah is an ardent supporter of Marsh McLennan’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and a champion for gender equity within the organization, having served as the founding executive sponsor of Marsh’s Women’s Exchange colleague resource group.

Sarah is a graduate of Queen’s University and is an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriter’s Society. She served as a member of the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement Central Ontario from 2018 to 2023. In 2019, Sarah was named one of Business Insurance’s Women to Watch.

Sarah has prioritized making a positive impact in Marsh MacLennan’s local communities through a number of initiatives, including the Jim Abernethy Challenge, an industry-wide event that encourages participants to get active and raise money to help those impacted by blood cancers.
