MONTREAL, March 8, 2024 – On this International Women’s Day, Women in Governance (WiG) proudly unveils the organizations that obtained its Parity Certification™.
When it was launched in 2017, 17 esteemed organizations enrolled in the Parity Certification™. As of today, WiG has certified 123 organizations—including some of the most prestigious in the FP500—and the significant milestone of 1,000,000 employees in Canada and the United States working for a Parity certified organization has now been surpassed. These figures highlight the crucial role of continuous evaluation, the cornerstone of the Parity Certification™, in an ever-evolving world.
To celebrate this remarkable success, WiG will hold two prestigious Recognition Galas in Toronto (May 28 at The Carlu, presented by CIMA+ and co-chaired by Sarah Robson, CEO of Marsh McLennan Canada and President of Marsh Canada, and Patrick Poulin, President-Managing Director of Randstad Canada) and Montreal (September 19 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal, presented by AtkinsRéalis and co-chaired by Deborah K. Orida, President and CEO of PSP Investments, and Denis Ricard, President and CEO of iA Financial Group). These editions will bring together top leaders from the corporate and political worlds.

“Given its dynamic nature, gender parity isn’t achieved through pledges but lies in deep commitment and continuous investment in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully. By participating in the Parity Certification™ year after year, organizations not only monitor their progress through detailed reports but can also adapt and enhance their practices and programs as societal perceptions shift and organizational landscapes evolve.” — Caroline Codsi, Founder and Chief Equity Officer of WiG.
